In Revelation chapter 1, the exalted Jesus appears to John the Seer. John offers readers many descriptions of Jesus that reveal much about his personal Christology. This episode looks at seven of these characteristics and examines them from a Jewish theological perspective, from a Roman imperial perspective, and from a scriptural allusion perspective. What we find is that Jesus is a highly exalted and greatly authorized human being.
